351. James Earl Ray
Former Ten Most Wanted Fugitive #351: On June 13, 1977, Ray was apprehended in Brushy Mountain, Tennessee. Using bloodhounds, the prison authorities found Ray hiding beneath some leaves in a wooded area. The convicted killer of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Ray was added to the “Ten Most Wanted Fugitives” list twice. He was also #277 on the list.
