FBI Media Alert: Tan Pants Bandit Strikes Again! Have You Seen Him? He’s Wanted for Another Bank Robbery at a Bank in Los Ranchos De Albuquerque

The FBI along with the Rio Rancho Police Department and the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the Tan Pants Bandit, who robbed the Bank of Albuquerque, located at 6600 4th St NW, Los Ranchos De Albuquerque, at approximately 4:55p.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2024.

Suspect’s description:

  • Sex: Male
  • Race: White
  • Height: Approximately 5’7”
  • Build: stocky
  • Clothing: Tan pants, Black button-up shirt, Black baseball cap with white emblem on the front, black face mask, glasses, Black and white Nike sneakers

The suspect entered the Bank and demanded money from the teller. The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect. The suspect then fled west bound on Nora Vista Rd toward 4th Street in a white sedan; likely a 2016 Buick Verano.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of this suspect. Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to contact the FBI at (505) 889-1300. Information about other bank robbers wanted by the FBI can be found at bankrobbers.fbi.gov.

Bank robbery carries a possible prison term of up to 20 years. The use of a gun, other dangerous weapon, toy gun, or hoax bomb device during the commission of a bank robbery can be punishable by a prison term of up to 25 years.
