Rewards are available for information leading to the arrests of the alleged leader of a Mexican drug trafficking cartel and his uncle, who are wanted by the FBI.

Mollie Halpern: Rewards are available for information leading to the arrests of the alleged leader of a Mexican drug trafficking cartel and his uncle, who are wanted by the FBI.

Fausto Isidro Meza-Flores, also known as “El Chapo Isidro," was indicted on narcotics and firearm violations in connection with the Meza-Flores cartel that bears his name.

He is believed to be living in Mexico.

Meza-Flores’ uncle, Salome Flores Apodaca, is an alleged member of the cartel and was indicted on similar charges.

Special Agent Justin Holgate says the cartel is based in Sinaloa, Mexico, and is known for its ruthless tactics...

Justin Holgate: Based on our investigation, it’s been determined that the cartel, it uses violence to carry out its operations.

Halpern: The U.S. Department of State is offering a reward of up to $5 million for information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of Meza-Flores.

The FBI is offering an up to $25,000 reward for information leading directly to the arrest of Salome Flores Apodaca.

Holgate: We've seen the horrible effects of the drugs that they are bringing into this country, so we're going to use all our resources to capture these men and bring them to justice.
